SAFOPS has
been established to offer information services like, ‘research, presentations, risk assessments, publications and consultancy” to parties who are professionally involved in
public security problems. The information services are focused on small arms
problems related to public security. However public security is broadly
interpreted. Counter measures against terrorism, international illegal small
arms trade, the way small arms are deployed by terrorists but also the
preparations for military missions are only a few examples of possible subject
matters. Nevertheless all services are carried out to support the quality of
public security.
